i’m still here.

…even though the blog has been somewhat neglected lately. Our days have been full but when it comes time that I usually post- I am too tired to care too much. But things have been great but flying by unbelievably fast. I’ll try to keep up a bit better, but for today, I leave you […]

monday’s photo 02 feb 09

There is a tragic aura that draws me into this photo. Flowers are often portrayed as such happy things that are made up of sunshine and warm fuzzy feelings and a lovey-dovey facade. They can be beautiful, but I like to find angles that show a side that’s not so obvious.
Flowers are like a crowd […]

monday’s photo 12 jan 09

This flower is from the bouquet that Chris bought me for our second anniversary. They were beautiful, pale pink gerber daisies and were beautiful. This one had a broken stem a couple inches down from the flower, so I cut it off and kept it seperately.

monday’s photo 24 nov 08

Here is another shot I like from the wedding last weekend. The bride and we bridesmaids were getting ready in a pastor’s study before the ceremony, so there were some odd combinations in some of the photos I took… This is one of my favorites.

sometimes it’s monday.

Sometimes I know there is a lot of work to do, but I sleep in. Sometimes the morning is cloudy but the flowers are yellow. Sometimes all I see are the spots on the mirror but someone tells me I am beautiful. Sometimes my hands are cold but the coffee is sweet and warm. […]

monday photo post 06. 02. 08

This is one of my favorite shots of the tulips I photographed the other day. This was taken with our Nikon D70 through the lens of an Argus 75 medium format camera. It gives a great effect. The focal point is not quite in sharp focus, and the rest has a nice grainy texture. It […]

monday’s photo post (on a tuesday…)

I finally feel good enough to move around the house today, so I took these pictures too. These are the beautiful flowers Chris brought me for my birthday. I love the contrast of the pale pink against the green.

tulips

When my sweet husband went to the store to buy sausage for breakfast this morning, be brought back these beautiful tulips as well. They are beautiful and bring a bit of spring into the apartment. Tulips always remind me of my Oma. She is from Holland and grows beautiful tulips every year. They’ve always […]
