monday’s photo 03. 31. 08

I took this photo a couple months ago, I’m not sure when. I took a few in different types of glasses with different compositions, but I really like this one the best. The ones that were in sharp focus just looked like an advertisement to me, and that isn’t what I was going for…
If you […]

wisdom tooth flowers

My wonderful hubby knew that I was having a lousy weekend and brought me flowers and a big, fat Sunday newspaper today to make me feel better! The flowers are beautiful- I took a big chunk of my afternoon photographing them. Another big chunk reading my paper. It was a great diversion and definitely made […]

wisdom hurts.

Well, wisdom might not hurt, but growing teeth do. I know my four wisdom teeth have started to come in, but they’re taking their time coming in all the way. Since Friday one of them has been pushing through my poor, swollen gum and ruining my weekend. I’ve been eating soft food just so I […]

happy friday!

I got these packages in the mail today. They are all my supplies for my next commissioned piece! I am really excited. And yes, the largest box IS six feet long :) More details to come as the piece progresses.

just thursday

merry easter!

It snowed for about an hour last night, but it is a beautiful day today. Perfect for the Resurrection Sunday that it is. I saw a few kids running around the yard carrying bright baskets looking for hidden eggs. It was a good day.

appearance of beauty

I’ve been strangely fascinated by the perception of beauty and it’s definition in our culture of late. I saw a few videos of photos being manipulated by programs like Photoshop, and quite honestly- it blew me away. I must say from the beginning that I have no problem with Photoshop, it’s functions and capabilities, or […]

thursday’s art 03. 20. 08

I know this is in no ways a finished piece, but I wanted to post my progress for some reason. I had full intentions to work on this piece earlier in the week to have a finished piece to post today, but obviously, that didn’t happen.
